Tech Support Representative

Salary: $14.00- $20.00 /hour depending on skills and experience

Job Description:

Delta Media Group, Inc., (a.k.a. Delta) offers web-based software and marketing services within the real estate industry. Our software and services are used nation-wide to power real estate companies of all sizes. Delta is a growing and stable company that is looking to add to restructure our Technical Support Team!

This role will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex customer issues. Our Tech Support Reps are very highly regarded among our staff and often serve as the face of the company. They are expected to be experts on our proprietary platform as well as having some level of expertise in general IT, networking, basic web programming, and web design. Most importantly, members of this team need to be understanding and capable of patiently and clearly explaining complicated topics to customers in order to help them use our platform to best run their business.

Duties consist of the following:

  • Establish and maintain technical support process by receiving calls, emails, live chats and monitoring systems for issues/complaints
  • Researching and documenting complicated technical issues
  • Work with development teams to determine solutions for complex customer issues.
  • Training customers and creating writing training guides and videos
  • Serve as lead customer support person for resolving technical issues.
  • Prioritization and organization of tasks

Expected Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships outside of the department (product development, sales/marketing, operations, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong sense of logic and problem solving
  • The ability to remain self motivated and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer networking knowledge
  • Some understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL preferred
  • Some understanding of DNS and email functionality preferred
