In this episode of Tech Tuesday, Harley Wolfarth demonstrates how to connect your Zillow account to your Delta Media Group account so that leads that come into Zillow are automatically sent to your Delta CRM.

Good morning, and welcome to another edition of Tech Tuesday presented by Delta Media Group, where the other day, this guy just walked into the office out of the blue and he said, "I'm a teepee, I'm a wigwam. I'm a teepee, I'm a wigwam." So I looked at him and I said, "Relax, man, you're too tense." So today, we are going to take a look at Zillow tech connect. This is a feature that we've had for a long time, and we've done a video for it in the past, but the interface, both on Zillow's side and in the DeltaNET, has changed quite a bit. So I wanted to make an updated video to make sure that everybody knows the most current interface for how to get that set up.

Harley:

So what this does is it allows you to connect your Zillow account to your Delta account so that when a new lead comes in on the Zillow side, it gets piped into Delta automatically. So it's already in your CRM and you can use it in the DeltaNET, along with all the drip marketing campaign features or any of the other email marketing functionality, Creative Studio, e-cards and flyers, email blasts. So basically it's all about getting that customer information into the DeltaNET automatically so that you can start using the tools to interact with that customer.

Harley:

So to set it up, now most of the setup for this is actually going to be on the Zillow side, so that's what we're going to look at. But first, we will take a look at where you need to get the pertinent information in the DeltaNET to turn it on. So in DeltaNET 6, I am just going to click on my name up here in the top right and click on Profile. And when this page loads up, we have this, Your DMGID section. This number right here is the magic number, so that's what we're going to need. So we're just going to keep this open, and we're going to open up a new tab, which I happen to have another browser tab open already. So we'll go over to that new browser tab, and I am just right on the Zillow homepage. So I just went to zillow.com, and here I am.

Harley:

Now, in order to set this up, we're going to go over here to Agent Hub. And it's kind of interesting how their interface is set up. At this point, it doesn't matter what you click on. So you can just click on Agent Hub, or you can click on presumably anything in here, and it will get us where we need to go. So I'm just going to click on Agent Hub, and you can see that loads up the Zillow Premier Agent interface. So now I'm just going to click on this little picture icon. This would probably be your picture if you had added a picture to your profile, but I'm just going to click on that and go down here and click on Settings.

Harley:

There we go. Now over here on the left under general settings, there is an option to connect my CRM. So I'm going to click on that. It's going to load up our subscriptions page for our CRM connection. You can see at this time TechConnect system will only export contacts, blah, blah, blah. So it gives us some information about Zillow TechConnect and how to set this up. I'm going to click on Add Subscription, and it allows me then to select a partner. So your partner is going to be Delta Media Group. So we'll just click on that menu, select Delta Media Group. There we go, click on Next. And now it wants me to put in my identifier, that is the DMGID from our other tab. So I'm just going to go back to my other browser tab. Here's our DMGID. So I'm going to copy that guy, and now we'll go back into Zillow and we're going to paste that in here. So there's my ID, save, and that's it. We're all done.

Harley:

So at this point, what you've basically told Zillow to do is any time a lead comes in and gets attached to your Zillow account here, that lead data should also be sent to us, to Delta Media Group, and attached to your Delta account based on that identifier number. And that's all there is to it. So now it's all set up. Anytime you get a new lead from Zillow, it's going to automatically come into the DeltaNET, and you'll get notified just like any other lead that comes in through your website or comes into the DeltaNET in any other way. So there you have it.

Now, if you did want to delete this later on, you can always go back to this page, click Delete, and that essentially disables that connection. But at this point you can just let it run and just let the leads roll in. So as always, thanks a lot for joining me. We have a nice short one today.
