Staying on Top of Your Real Estate Marketing Plans

It's time to put 2016 in the books, but the work of a real estate agent never really ends. Now is a great time to review your online marketing, research trends that will most likely shake things up in the coming year and make plans for 2017 that will take your business to the next level.

Prepping Your Online Marketing for a Successful 2017

By taking the time to review emerging trends, you're already taking one of the most important steps toward successful real estate marketing. Online marketing evolves quickly so it's important to read, watch and learn as much as you can. A bit of research will also make it easier to invest your resources in the marketing tools most likely to make a difference for your unique real estate business.

  • More Mobile – Mobile browsing is huge, and continues to gobble up a bigger share of the market with each passing year. If your website isn't responsive to mobile devices, you're going to be at a competitive disadvantage. A responsive website redesign will bring your site up to speed for 2017, and also presents a great opportunity to tackle any other design issues with your current site.

  • Stick with Social – Social media is an awesome marketing tool for real estate agents, but it's important to remember that success doesn't happen overnight. Stick with it, be authentic, and always look for opportunities to engage. It takes time to build a social presence, but it's worth the effort.

  • Email Marketing – Another great way to stay top of mind, email marketing is an especially good fit for real estate marketing. Automation allows you to reach a wider audience with minimal effort, while targeting clients with the content they're most interested in seeing. It's also a great way to get more eyes on your content.

  • Content Marketing – Speaking of content, you are going to need plenty of it to keep the attention of your audience in 2017. Keeping a real estate blog on your website is basically a must, and it's also easier (and cheaper) than ever to create video content. Experiment, see what works for you, and then be sure to share it on your social pages.

  • SEO – SEO just might be the most important three letters in real estate marketing, and you should certainly make search engine optimization a priority if you haven't already. The content you create is a huge part of SEO, but there are plenty of more technical details, as well. This is one area of marketing where it really helps to have the ear of an expert.

  • An Open Mind – If we could totally anticipate what's to come in 2017, then this whole marketing thing would be kind of boring. It pays to have an open mind, because there will always be unexpected developments that disrupt the status quo. Control what you can about your online marketing, and adapt to the rest.

If your marketing is in serious need of an update for 2017, then a website redesign is a great way to check off multiple items from our list. If not, there are likely still some smaller changes you can make to improve marketing performance. Contact Delta Media Group for everything you need to create effective real estate marketing in 2017.
