Hello, and welcome to the very first 2018 Tech Tuesday. Kicking off a new year of new instructional videos, just to the delight of all. This year, we are going to kick it off with a feature we've gone over before, but we've added a lot of new things to it, so we're going to go in and take a look at it and see how to use it.
Specifically, we are looking at ecard and flyers, today. Let's go on into the Delta Net. Here I am on the Welcome page. In order to generate ecard or flyers in the Delta Net, you'll need to go down to "customers" and down to "ecards and flyers."
For anyone who has used this system before or is accustomed to it, you'll see that already it has a different look to it. As we scroll down the line, you'll notice it highlights. That's a larger preview, different feel to it than it used to. Just something to update the interface and make it look a little bit cleaner, and a little bit easier to use.
You will also notice that we have a few marked "new" up at the top. What we're doing is, on just about a weekly basis, we are adding a new ecard or a new flyer to the system. Then we mark it as "new" and we stored it to the top, so that it is a little bit easier for you find the newer ones, but you can scroll through all of these and you can see all of our recently added. As you scroll down, if you get down far enough, you'll get into our oldie cards, as well. You can see how many new ones we've added, since we're still looking at new ones this far down. Those are still fairly new. Then, we start to get into some of the old ones, down here.
As it is right now, we're not removing any of the old ones, at least not yet. We'll probably start removing those in the future if they don't get any use.
In order to use the system, the first thing you'll do is just find the one you like, click on it and then follow through the wizard. Keep in mind here that this is the ecard and flyer system, so some of these things in here are ecards and some of them are flyers. The flyers are just print flyers. You click on them and you can either print them on your home computer, or you can download the file and take them to a print shop, and have them print them out for you.
If you are looking for specifically an ecard, for example, or you're looking for a specific type of ecard or flyer, you can use these filters at the top. Let's say I am looking for a buying ecard. I'll say "buying" for category and I'll say "ecard" for type. Now, these are all of the ecards that are related to buying. You can see this one on the left is a new one.
If I want to use this, I'll go ahead and click on it, and it will let me choose a property to attach to it. I can either click here, just selecting one of the properties. This list will default to filling out with my listings. If I want to send out an ecard for a listing that's not mine, I can just type in the address, the MLS number, up here, and that will filter down the list to those. You can see these are all test listings, anyway. I click on that one, and that selects that listing instead of one of my own. The idea there is, let's say you see a new listing that comes on the market, and even though it's not yours, you have a buyer that might be interested in it. You can go ahead and create an ecard and send an ecard out to that potential buyer.
Then down here, it automatically fills the message in with the details coming from the MLS for that listing. We can also, on this particular ecard, select the shape of the box that will hold my photo. Once we have this first part set up, we'll click preview and you can see the colors update to my company colors, so it doesn't stay the colors in the thumbnail. Those are just a sample. It will actually update to the correct company colors.
It fills in with the pictures for this listing automatically, but if I wanted to change these, I could click on one and select another photo for this listing. Of course, this listing only has one. I mean, it's the Taj Mahal. It only needs one, right?
The other thing I can do here is, if I scroll over any of these text sections, anything that is highlighted with this red dotted line. I click on and I can customize. If I don't like the way the address laid out, I can change that. If I want to change the comments at this point, I can click here and change those comments, if I didn't do it in Step One. I can change the logo that this particular one will use, or I can go over here and change my phone number. Maybe I want it to format in specific way on this ecard. These are all things that I can customize here in this preview step.
Once the ecard looks the way I want it to, I'll go down here and click "send ecard". I can then either select from my customer groups. I can enter individual email addresses or both. Once I've done that, I'll just click "send ecard" and that ecard will go out. The other thing you can do here is you can customize the subject on that ecard, the subject that will go out in that email. You can also specify a date that that ecard will go out, if you don't want it to go out today.
The only suggestion I would have there is, you don't usually want to set them way in advance, because the way the system will work is, it will send to the group of people. If I selected my group named "group", and I set this to send in a month, it will send to the people who are in that group today, not the people who are in it a month from now. If I add more people to that group between now and the time that is sends, it's not going to go to those additional people. It will only go the people that are queued up when I actually set the email, not on the day it actually goes out.
I'm all set here. I'll hit "send". I also have the options of going back and changing the preview or going back and modifying the options, but once I hit send, the email goes out and it should be all set to go. It does go into a queue system, so it might not show up instantly. For example, you set one to go to yourself just to see what it looks like, you might not see it instantly because it will go into our mail queue and it could take a little time to go through.
The next thing we can do here is, I will go to print flyers. You can see I'm still in the buying category, so that's what all these are related to. I can also choose from any of these other categories, but these are all the flyers. The system is very similar for sending out flyers. I'll go ahead and pick one here. This time, I'll select my own property. We see just the same way, it will fill in with the message. This time, I'll change my photo shape to an oval, too, and see how that goes. Click "preview" and there you have it.
I can click on the picture, just like with the other one, and I can select a different photo to use with this listing. I don't know who that is. There we go. I can customize all these other fields exactly the same way. If I click on any one of these highlighted fields, I can modify those. If I go down here, you can see I turned my photo into an oval. Ovals are nice. When I click on generate flyer, it's going to generate a pdf and I now have the option to download that flyer.
If I click download, it will open the pdf in a new window, depending on the browser you're using, or it will just download it to your computer, where you can then print it out on your local computer or you can put it on a flash drive and take it to a print shop and have them print it out for you.
Lastly, we have added ... This is one of our new features ... We've added different "share" options to this. If I wanted to just directly share this ecard on social media, I can just choose what I want to share it one. Let's say I want to like it on Facebook. If I just click that button, it will pop open a screen where I can fill in my comment. I just happen to be signed into Facebook, so if I click on it, it will take it into mine, where I'll fill in whatever comment I want to go along with it, choose who I want to share it with, and click "post" and it will share.
So, if I click on it here. Let it think for a minute. It's thinking hard. Ta Da. Right there, I would just fill that out, click "post to Facebook" and it will post. If you're not signed into Facebook, it will actually take you to a screen where it will have you sign into your Facebook account, first. The same goes for the other things you can share with. If you wanted to share it with Google Plus, or LinkedIn, anything like that.
There you go. The last thing you can do with this system is you can view history, here. This will show you all of our ecard history. This is all the ecards you sent out, all of the print flyers you've made. You can see that "sent", and "clicked through" and all that is not applicable to print flyers, but for any of the ecards, you can actually see the number that you sent when you sent out this run. The number of people that clicked through when they received the email. The number of people that opened the email.
So, there you go. That is the latest version of the new and improved ecard system, and we continually make updates to these. As always, if you have any suggestions or any comments, or suggestions for any other videos, anything like that, feel free to send an email into support@deltagroup.com or give us a call or go ahead and comment on one of these videos, and we can make any updates or answer any questions you might have.
Thanks a lot for joining me. I hope everybody has a great new year.
