Hello, and welcome to a brand new edition of Delta Media Group's Tech Tech Tuesday, Tech Tuesday Live. In this one, our plan is to go over the Google Sync. So that's something we've gone over before a little bit. It's a feature we've had for a little while. But we've added some things to it. Now we've added some more functionality, trying to make it more useful to you overall. So I will go ahead and go over how to set it up, and give you a little insight in the kind of things you can do with it. So, into the DeltaNet.

So here we are. When you first log in, you'll hit the welcome page right here. And if you want to sync up your Google account, we'll scroll down to the bottom, click on Google. And in this case, we're just going to sync over our Google Contacts, so we'll click on Google Contacts.

So you can see that there were a few other options under there, and all those options are available to you, but the way I'm going to break these down is we're going to split the videos up a little bit. So in this one, we're just going to go over syncing your contacts, and then probably next week, we're going to go over the calendar sync so you can see how the calendar functionality works, 'cause we've got it all out there too.

So, in any case, in order to sync up your contacts, we're going to click here on Authorize My Account. It's going to show me all of my accounts here, and I am just going to click on the one that I want to sync, if I can remember which one. I've got entirely too many Google accounts. If I wasn't already logged into the account, it would have me log in now. But since I am, it just took me straight in.

Now, I click on Allow. And there we go. So now I've authorized my Google account, or basically approved the DeltaNet app in my Google account, so that gives the app the access it needs to get the data it needs from your Google account. And now here, I can click on Activate Google Contacts, and it will give me some options for how exactly I want to sync these contacts.

So, here's where the cool stuff comes in. The option that we've had all along, and the option that is still available, is this Sync All Contacts options. So if I select that, and I click Activate Google Contact Sync, what the system is going to do is find every contact in my Google account and it's going to start feeding those into the DeltaNet. And vice versa. All of my contacts in the DeltaNet, it is going to feed into my Google account.

Our system tries to handle picking up any kind of duplicates. Now, it's not going to be perfect, as no CRM sync ever quite is. But it does a pretty good job of finding, based on email address, any matches between your Delta account and your Google account so it doesn't create duplicates on either side.

So, in any case, when you click Activate Google Contact Sync, it'll start that sync process. It could take up to about 24 hours, depending on how many contacts you have, to get everything synced in both directions. And then from that point on, anytime I add a contact to my Google account, it will automatically add it to the DeltaNet, and anytime I add one to the DeltaNet or a new lead comes in, anything like that, into my DeltaNet account, it's going to sync that over to my Google account also. So that way, I have this unified contact list in both places. So that's number one.

Number two, this is the feature we added to this. So if I click on Sync Certain Groups of Contacts, I don't have any groups in this particular Google account, so I don't have any to sync. However, if I did, it would list out all of my Google groups here, and so I could use those to decide how I want the sync to work.

So let me go into my Google account. I'm just going to go to contacts.google.com, should be the easiest way to get there. And if I create a label ... with My Business Contacts. Then we'll go back over here. I'm just going to refresh this page. Google, Google Contacts. Well, I created a label. I didn't create a group, though, I think.

Oh well. I don't have any groups in here. So we're going to have to shoot from the hip here for now. So what it will do is any group that it finds in my Google Contacts list, it's going to list out here. And then my different options are going to be, do I want to sync the group as a one-to-one, or do I want everything from my DeltaNet to sync into that group automatically?

So here's the way it will work. If I had a Group A here, and I just select Group A and I say Activate Google Contact Sync, what it is going to do is it's going to take everything that's in my Group A on my Google Contacts side. It's going to create a Group A on the DeltaNet side, and then anything that I add to Group A in Google, it's going to put in Group A in the DeltaNet. Anything I add to Group A in the DeltaNet, it is also going to add to Group A in my Google account. So that's option number one.

Option number two is I can say, sync Group A, and I'll have an option to say, make that my default group. If I do that, when I add contacts to the DeltaNet, even if I haven't put then in any group, it's going to automatically put those contacts in my Group A group in Google. And then anything I add to the Group A group in Google is also going to add to the DeltaNet. So the idea there is that it will only sync the contacts that I've put in that particular Google group. It won't sync all of my Google contacts.

So that's what's so cool about it. If I have my whole Google account, and say I have some business contacts and some personal contacts in there, and I want to sync just one set of contacts, I can go in there. I can add those contacts to that one group, and those are the only ones that'll sync over.

So here's where this gets really interesting. Whenever I choose groups to sync from both sides, it's going to create those groups in my customer center here. So in this list, all of the groups that I have set up in Google will also appear in this group section here. So there's Group A, Group B, Group C, and it'll indicate that they came from Google. What I can do is I can set up some kind of actions or automations or drip marketing campaigns based on those groups, so that all I have to do if I'm at an open house, for example, is I'll get out my phone. I will add a contact, and I'll put them in my potential buyers group. I'll have that potential buyers group in a campaign in the DeltaNet, so that as soon as I go to my open house, I add the new user, put them in my Google list in that Google Contacts group. It will automatically start sending them emails and marketing to that customer, and I didn't have to do anything else. All I had to do was put them in that group in my Google account.

So to show you how to set that up, so we have Group A. Let's say that group came from one of my Google Contacts. I can go down to customers, campaigns, so we'll say an email campaign, for example. I have a holidays campaign here. So what I'll do is I will go to Customers/Groups and I'll add Group A. Go down here and click Save. So now Group A is in this campaign, so all I'll have to do is if Group A was a Google group, I would just open up my phone, add a new customer, put them in Group A, and automatically they'll start getting marketed by this campaign.

So, pretty cool, right? So that is step one of Google Sync. You can sync over all your contacts, you can sync them based on groups, or you can sync everything all together. All right?

So, as always, thanks a lot for joining me this week. I think next week, we're probably going to get into the calendar system, so we'll go over the Google Sync portion of that, and also show you the updates that we've made to the calendar system in the DeltaNet. If you have any questions, concerns, comments, feel free to comment on this video or send an email in to support@deltagroup.com, and we will get back to you with any answers.

So thanks a lot for joining me, and I'll see you next week.
