Good morning, and welcome to another edition of Tech Tuesday, presented by Delta Media Group where not unlike the venerable macho man, Randy Savage, with the cream of the crop. So today we're going to take a look at Open House Connector. Now we did a video on Open House Connector when we first released it that that went over all the bits and pieces of it, getting it set up, all that stuff. And I'm going to touch on that a little bit today. But mainly we've added a lot of updates to it, new features, new functionalities. So, we're going to kind of focus on that. So let's jump into the DeltaNet and take a look at Open House Connector.

So, first off to get to it, we're going to scroll down to listings. And then down here at the bottom of the listings menu is Open House Connector. So, I'm already signed into Open House Connector, or sort of signed in or set up for it. So that is why you see this page the way you see it on mine. What you'll initially run into when you hit this page is just a single button that basically says activate Open House Connector. In fact, let's see if I can shortcut my way over there and show you what that page looks like. Just for completion's sake.

There we go. So this is what you'll see when you first hit that page just says setup Open House Connector and then you have the enable Open House Connector button. Now when you click that button, it takes you to the page where we were just looking at on my other account here, where I already have it set up, where it gives you, go down here, a username and password that allows you to log into the app. So right there is the DMG ID, which basically is the username and then the pin, which would be the password for it.

So, to show you what you do with those, you would then download the app from the App Store. If you are on this page, on your mobile device, or on your iOS device, or more specifically on an iPad, you will be able to click this link and that would take you through to the App Store where you can download the app or you can just go to the Apple App Store and you can search for it. Before you ask, the Android app is coming. It's not here yet, but we hope very soon. So we're still working on it. It is on the way.

But for now you would download it on your iPad and then when you download it, here we go. When you download it, you run it on your iPad, it will take you to this page. Now I already forgot what my username and password are, so let's do that.

Here we go. So I'll put in my age and ID, put in my app password, hit login. That takes me into the app and then shows me all of the available open houses. So from here, this should actually list out every upcoming open house at the company. That way, if you're hosting an open house for a listing that's listed by another agent, you'll still be able to see that in this list. So you click on the open house that you are about to host and then that brings you to this basically sign-in page.

So, at this point, the idea is that you can present this to customers or visitors as they come into the open house or you could even just set it up on like a kiosk, something like that, so that they can come in and they can sign in with the app. So the idea is they'll come in here, click sign in, they'll put in their name ... it's good enough, right?

They'll put it in an email address, hit next, and then as they hit next, it's going to drive them through all of the survey questions that you have set up. So they can either just hit save to bypass the question or they can give you an answer on the question and hit save as they go through each one. When they get through all the questions, it gives them a little thank you page. They hit done. And then it also fires them off an email assuming that you have that turned on. So that's what we'll look at next. We'll get into all the different settings that are available for Open House Connector that are all built around configuring how this app works. And just real quick while we're in the app, you can see up here the number of people that have signed in. So it's really easy for you at the open house to go in and and look at that.

And you also have this admin panel where you can go down here, you can end the open house, you can log out of the app altogether or you can provide feedback. And that's basically feedback to us that goes through the Apple, iTunes, I store. I feel like I should know what that is. App Store. It's the Apple App Store, right? Yeah. So it'll send the feedback through there. So we'll close out of that.

So now from the DeltaNet, the things you can control there are, if we go over to settings here and we'll go back to this home tab in a minute, but under settings you can control, first off, you have an initial set of questions. So these questions are our default questions and also any questions that have been added by the companies. So now the company has the ability to go in and create custom questions and make those available to you as an agent. So you'll be able to see all those questions here. And as long as the company isn't restricting access to your ability to turn questions on and off or reorder questions, you'll be able to use these switches to turn any questions on and off in this list.

Now you'll also be able to click on new question and create any new questions here. So you would just click new question, give it a question name. And then you can choose your question type. So under question type, we have select, multi-select and text response. So if I go to select, this gives me individual select boxes like radio buttons. So these would be the options I put in here. And then you can, or whoever's filling out the survey can only select one question at a time.

Multi-select works the same way except that you can select multiple answers. So it's check checkboxes there instead of radio buttons. So if I had answer one, answer two, answer three, they could check all three boxes if they wanted. And then lastly is an open text response and this just makes it a text box that allows them to type out a little message in the box. Now [inaudible 00:09:09] for multi-select and select, you also have this allow other and that just adds an additional option to the bottom that just says other.

So if I were to go with select. There we go. So we have a couple of responses in and then I can also allow other and that will add that other option at the bottom. And then I can click add options or remove options and I can add or remove as many possible answers to this question as I want. And then when I click add question, it says question added successfully and it puts it in here. Now I will add that you do have to save this for it to actually save your question. So you create your question there that puts it in the list, but then you'll need to go down here and click save changes and that will actually save your question. So we'll go ahead and hit save here. And there we go.

And now I can drag these around to reorder them if I want. I can click on preview to preview any of the existing questions and if it's a custom question that I have access to do further things with, I'll have this actions button over here. And if I click that I can go in and edit my question, I can preview it like the others or I can delete it and just get rid of that question altogether. And I moved it, there we go, move it back. And if I preview it, it gives you an idea of what this question will look like in the app. So when you see it has other in then the little text box to fill in for other.

So there you go, that is the first new update to that. Now as we scroll down, this is the survey autoresponder. So after they fill out your survey, it'll send them out an email if you have this turned on. So that's what this allow autoresponder switch is here. So if you have that turned on, it'll send them this. And then this is customizable with all of these custom fields over here also. So if you wanted it to automatically fill in with your phone number or anything like that, you can use these options over here.

Then next you can choose whether or not your guests are automatically imported. So if you have this switched on, what the system will do is whenever someone fills out your survey on your app or signs in on your app in an open house, when that app is reconnected to the internet, assuming that it's not connected at the open house, the system will automatically pull in all of your customers and then it will automatically go through and import them all to your customer database in the DeltaNet if this switch is turned on.

Now what it'll do is when it imports, then it'll put them all in a group that is named for that open house. But if you want everybody, regardless of the open house they signed in on that is imported from this Open House Connector. To all go into a an additional group. You can fill in a group name here. So what this does is let's say I have three different open houses. I have them all set to auto import. When the app reconnects and it imports and sinks all those customers, it's going to import all the ones from open house one into a group called open house one, all open house two into a group called open house two. Now it's actually the groups are named for the address of the listing. So it's not actually open house two. And the same one for the third open house. And then all three of those groups of customers will all be imported into this single group called Open House Connector contacts also.

So it's a nice way to allow you to do things like you can set up a group and then put that group in an email campaign, and then fashion all of the emails in that campaign to people who were open house attendees and then put this group in it. And that way you know that every time the Open House Connector imports people, it'll import them into that group and they'll automatically start getting those campaign emails. So that's kind of the intention behind that one.

And then the last option we have on this page at this point is the guest summary report. And what this will do is when your open house is all over, it'll automatically fire off an email that gives you just a list of all the guests that signed up on that open house. So there you have it.

Now the other thing we've added if we move over to home here is the ability to see which customers answered what questions. So originally, with the release of the app, and you can see here, these were all the open houses that I have used the Open House Connector app for. It has the dates and times on these. It has the number of people that signed up. And then these numbers up here indicate that these are unimported guests. So I have it set not to auto import, and this is indicating to me that there are guests that signed in on these apps that I never had imported.

So we'll go ahead and click on this one for example, you can see I've got three people that weren't imported. If I look here under question overview, I can see just aggregated responses. So this is just each question listed out and how many people answered which way on each question. And this is something that's always been part of Open House Connector from the survey side of things. So we can see all those, how many people answered each question each way. But now if I switch over to guest overview, I also have the ability to see how it is each individual attendee actually answered the questions.

And this is particularly nice if you have a question on there that's something like, you know, are you already working with an agent? You'll be able to go in here and see all the customers that answered yes to that. And then because you can choose to import them individually, you can not import those customers because you know they're already working with someone else.

But, to do that and you just go through here, we click on the arrows to expand and then if I choose to import this customer, if I decide that you know they're not working with anybody else, I want to import them, I'll just click on import guest and it'll import just that customer. Or if everything looks good and I know that I want to import everybody, I'll just click this perform guest import up here at the top. And there you have it.

So those are the new features attached to Open House Connector. And then real quick I'm just going to jump back into the open house app and let's see, we'll refresh it. We might just sign out and back in. I want to see my new question. So I'm going to end the open house. Now, if I open it back up, that'll start it up again. Person, person's email address and you can see there's my custom question now in place on the app. And because of the way I set it up, I have radio buttons for those. And then I also have an other response where the customer could type other response. So there you go.

That is Open House Connector in a nutshell and our recent updates to it. So as always, thanks a lot for joining me on this week's Tech Tuesday.
