Harley Wolfarth:

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Tech Tuesday presented by Delta Media Group, where if you see a red balloon hanging out of a storm drain it means go the other way.

Harley Wolfarth:

So today we are going to take a look at the listing profile page on the Deltanet, really this'll tell you how to manage listings or what kind of listing management you can do through the Deltanet, and by manage listings, I mean changing some information about that listing, maybe changing out the pictures, adding new pictures or adding media to that listing. So let's take a look and see what we can do there.

Harley Wolfarth:

So first off, in order to get to that listing profile page, you have a few different options in Deltanet 5, you would just go down to listings and then click on listings would be the first option here and that'll take you to a page that shows all of your listings. In Deltanet 6, I can do roughly the same thing, so under listings I have an option for manage my listings and when I click on that, that'll take me here to my listing management page. Also, I could just type the address or the MLS ID of the listing up here, and it would come up so you can see we've got our 42 Random Ridge Road, so if I just type that in, you can see it comes up in the auto completer and I can click edit and that will take me to that listing's profile page. I can do the same thing if I put the MLS ID up here. So it was just kind of a shortcut that'll get you there a little bit quicker.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, the other thing I would do is from this page, if I went to the management page first, I'll just click on the MLS ID and that will take me through to that listing profile page. Now, from here, we have tabs that indicate all the different things that we can do in these particular listings. Some of these tabs, most of them will be available to everyone, I would say custom fields might not be available to you that'll depend on whether or not any custom listing fields have been added at the company level for your company. But other than that, all these will be about the same.

Harley Wolfarth:

So you start off here on the overviews page, you have a little information up here at the top that just really gives you a shortcut to get to the detail page for that listing. So if I click on that, you can see it opens a new tab and in that new tab here I am on my detail page. So click back to my other the tab to go back into the Deltanet.

Harley Wolfarth:

The other things you'll see here as we scroll down, you get your kind of primary photo here. This will display whatever I have chosen to act as the primary photo on the page. So by default, it's just going to be photo number one, and we show that here. But if you have videos uploaded to this listing, you can select from those videos here or you can see I have a Facebook video on this one and that'll change out this to be whatever video I have selected.

Harley Wolfarth:

So if I were to save that, that would replace this image with this video that I have selected here. So we'll go ahead and leave that as primary photo for now. It gives you some basic information here at the top, so you have your address, have your MLS ID, price, how long it's been in the system. If individual property websites are turned on at the company level for you, there would also be a line here that gives you the URL of the individual property website or single property website for this listing. So there you go.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, if this happens to be a pocket listing, you'll have an additional spot down here for listing information where you can click here to edit the pocket listing information for this. So this is a pocket listing because I created it in the system just as a demo listing, but if you are creating pocket listings, this is how you would go in and edit those, change the status, all those things. Otherwise, this would be a listing that is coming in from MLS data, in which case the status, price, all that stuff is updated automatically as we get new data from the MLS.

Harley Wolfarth:

So the next thing we have here is I'm going to click on the photos tab. So this will lay out all the photos that are set up for this listing. Typically, these will have been pulled in from the MLS, but you can modify them here if you want. So I could select a replacement photo and actually replace this photo individually, or I can go down here and I can upload numerous photos at once. So if I clicked on add files here, they would let me select files from my computer, they would fill out this list and then I would click start upload and that would upload all the files to this listing.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, the next thing I can do here is I can reorder these photos. So if I just grab these toggles here and move that you can see it will update the photo order. Now there are two things to keep in mind when not just editing the photo order, but really editing anything on this page. First with the order, when I rearrange these, as soon as I rearranged them it saves the new order. I don't have to click a save button after I've set up the arrangement I want, just every time I make a move, it automatically saves that new order. Now that's important because whenever you make a change to the photos that would be either the order of the photos, you add titles to the photos, you replace any, or add any additional photos, any of those things, if this is a listing where all of these photos are coming in from the MLS, once you've made those changes we will stop pulling photos from the MLS for this listing. Now, the reason we do that is so that we don't overwrite your changes with what's still entered there.

Harley Wolfarth:

However, if you ever do make changes in here and then want us to start pulling photos from the MLS again, you can just send an email into support at Deltagroup.com and just let us know that you want to have this listing pull from the MLS again, and we can reset it to do so. Now, also that is just for photos, so even if you've changed photos and we're not pulling updated photos from the MLS anymore, we'll still pick up things like price changes and status changes, all that stuff from the MLS.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, the next thing you can do here is I can download a zip of all of the photos that are here, so if we got, say 20 photos from the MLS, and you just wanted to download them all really quickly, you can click this button and that'll give you a zip file with all of those. Or you have a download button on each of these that lets you download them individually. Then lastly, you have a delete button that just lets you remove individual photos.

Harley Wolfarth:

All right. So the next thing we have here is the Videos tab. Now, this Videos tab has undergone some pretty significant updates. So this is the main one I wanted to make sure I covered in this video. First off you can see from this video interface on the left, we've added some more sources. There's a little checkmark next to each one that has a video uploaded for it now. So right now we have YouTube selected, there's no video over here and there's no checkmark, but if I click on Facebook, you can see there's a video URL and there's a preview of the video here. If I wanted to remove it, I can just click remove video, okay, and now that video is gone and the check mark's gone. So that's the first thing we've kind of simplified this interface.

Harley Wolfarth:

So if I wanted to add a YouTube video to this listing, I'll just select YouTube. These are all choices for how I want to add it. So, depending on which one of these things I have, that's which option I would choose. So if I go over to YouTube and I just have a video open ahead of time, I can either grab the URL here, I can go down and click on share, and it gives me the share URL and I can just click copy, which is generally going to be the easiest way to do it. Or I can click on embed and you can see it gives me all the embed code and I could copy all that code. Or I can just grab this last little bit here, which is the video ID, and I can use just that, so any of those options are available to me.

Harley Wolfarth:

I would just say the fastest and easiest way that I would generally do it is just go down and click on share, there's my URL, click copy, and that's all there is to it. So now I'll just go back into the Deltanet. I know that that is the video share URL. So I'm going to click on share URL. I'm going to paste it in, hit update, and there's my video. Now you can see, I don't have to do each of these individually. So if I go through each of these, they're all filled in for me now. All I do is select the one, save it, and I'm good to go.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, if I go on to Facebook processes, very similar, but this time I don't have different types of URLs to choose from, I just have the one. So now I'm just going to go to my Facebook business page. So here I am on Facebook, we'll go to my business page because that's where I happen to have my video and I'll click on videos over here in the sidebar. So here's all my videos. We'll select the one we want and I will grab the URL from that page, highlight it, copy it, and I'll go over here and paste it in, update video, and there it is. It is exactly the same process for all of these. So if we go to Vimeo, it'd be the same thing, but like YouTube, I have a couple of different choices for embed code or video URL or video ID, depending on which one of the things I want to import there, or which one things I want to use to attach that video. I have Zillow, WelcomeMat, Matterport, MapRight, so those are all the ones we kind of have predefined in there where you can just drop in those IDs.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, lastly, we have added an additional option for other, and that allows you to take either a URL or embed code for a video from any source and just paste it in here so that we can attach that video to this listing. So it just gives you a lot of freedom there if you have any other third-party sources that you have videos set up or videos hosted at that aren't in this list. Now with those two videos we've added, if we go back over to the detail page and refresh it, there we go. Now I'll scroll down and you can see there's my videos embedded right on the page. So there's my YouTube video and there's my Facebook video.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now let's say that I wanted this YouTube video to be up here in place of the main photo. I can do that by just going back to overview. Now, if I click on this drop-down, you can see my YouTube videos in the list, update the gallery and now if we go back to our detail page and refresh it we have a broken YouTube video. So that's not going to work for us, but other than that, you can see that it replaces the main photo with the video, but the photos are still there, so I can still click on these arrows and still cycle through all the photos for this listing. So we'll go back over here, change this back to our primary photo, update, there we go and continue on our list.

Harley Wolfarth:

So the next piece we have here are Open Houses. If the ability to add open houses to listings is turned on for you at the company level, you can add open houses to a listing through here. You simply go in here, you give it your date, start time, end time, the agent will be set to you by default but if you have another agent hosting this open house, so you can select them from the list, it'll just show all the company agents in there. When you choose them, it'll fill in this information automatically their agent phone number, but you can modify that if you'd like. You just fill in all these fields and when you're all set, you had an open house and it'll show up down below over here.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, in addition to creating a conventional open house through here, I could also create a virtual open house. If I do that, I would paste in the URL where my virtual open house is going to appear, so this could be a Zoom URL, it could be a Facebook or YouTube video, just however I plan on kind of live streaming that event. I would just paste that URL here and save it. Now there's additional functionality for a premiere video as well. So on YouTube and Facebook, you can make a premiere video and what that does is allows you to upload a video ahead of time, but then set a certain date and time at which that video will become available. If you do that, you can expand this functionality and put your premiere embed code here and by doing that, there'll be some special behavior on the listing detail page that shows that the video will become available at that premiere time and kind of allows users to go in and kind of register for that ahead of time. So we do have other videos that look more specifically into all of the virtual tour functionality, our virtual open house functionality in this case, so that you can get more details on that.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now the next piece we have here VTours, So if I click on that tab, you can see that I can add both the primary and secondary virtual tour. Now, if I add that, what it'll do is add a button down here that says virtual tour and when I click on that, that'll open my tour up in a new window. To add that in I just pasted my virtual tour URL and hit update. That's all there is to it. For the secondary virtual tour. It works the same way. It just adds a second button. Now you can also choose the vendor for your virtual tour, but that's not required in either case.

Harley Wolfarth:

The next piece we have here is if the Builder and Community system is turned on for your company or at the company level, then you can go in here and you can attach a builder or a community to this listing. So what you're doing is saying that this listing was built by whatever builder you have selected here and it is within whatever community you have selected here. Now, this all has to do with what builders and communities have been added at the company level.

Harley Wolfarth:

The next piece we have here is Showings. So if you want to add showings to a listing, you can do so under this tab. So you just select the tab, enter all the information on this form and hit add new showing. What that'll do is basically attach that showing to this listing, and then those showings can be included on the seller report emails. So they're kind of two pieces here. First, if you have showing scheduled, you can put in all the information about that showing, have it create a calendar event for you so you'll have a reminder. The next thing you can do is you can include that showing on the seller report email, so that if you have a seller report set up to go out to any of your sellers, it'll include all the showings, just in a section on that report. So that's kind of nice. But to do that, fill the form out, just hit add new showing and that's all there is to it.

Harley Wolfarth:

The next piece we have is Notes. So this allows you to just add notes to the listing. These can either be internal notes or really they can be a mix also if you want, but it's just a text only note, you would type this out here, hit add new note. If this box is not checked, then that note will only appear in the Deltanet here, so it would just be kind of your own internal note about this listing. But if you check this box, that'll include that note on the seller report also. So your sellers, when they get that weekly report, if you do have it set up to be weekly, they'll be able to see all the notes that you've added to the list.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, the next piece we have here is the Mapping tab. So under this, if the listing is showing up in the wrong place, on the map in the map search, this is how you would adjust that positioning. So I would just click on is this map in the wrong position, and then it will load up a map here ultimately, and once it loads the map up, I can just drag a pin around on the map and reposition where that listing will appear on the map. And you see, we can also select from some different map types here, default map, pop-up, it really all uses Google Maps these days, so it's best to leave this set to the default.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now, next we have the Title and Tagline tab. So what this allows you to do is add a title or tagline to this listing that will appear in various places. Primarily the tagline will appear on the search results pages, just on the card for that listing, but if there are different results pages or detailed page templates, or if your company is using a custom template for those, those could appear in different places. But primarily those will appear on those results pages. Then the title and the name are specifically used for marketing purposes. So these really only appear internally, so they won't appear publicly on the detail page or on the results page at all.

Harley Wolfarth:

The next we have the Sellers tabs, this allows you to quickly add sellers to this listing. So if I just type in a name of a seller and select them, you can see it adds them to this as a seller. This gives me a shortcut to add a seller report, so if I were to sell a report to go to this user, I could just click there and then configure my seller report, and we've got videos specific to the seller report system. The other thing it does is it connects this listing to that seller as well, so that you can go in and see that seller or go to that seller's profile page and you'll be able to see that they're associated with this listing.

Harley Wolfarth:

Now next Custom Fields, if this is available if your company has chosen some custom fields for this listing or not for this listing, but for listings in general, this is how you would manipulate those custom fields. So sometimes these fields have to do with special functionality that have been added to the search form. So you could have an option here that says, my company's preferred listing. So if the company has had that added, you would say preferred listing, yes or no. If you say yes, then somebody does a search on the website they'll have a checkbox for preferred listings, which will return only the ones that are set to yes through these custom fields. So this is how you manipulate those fields if they're already set up for you.

Harley Wolfarth:

Next, we have Import, Export Notes. So what this does is gives you kind of a quick way that you can export notes from this listing. Or if you have notes from listing already just stored in like a CSV, then you can go in here and you can import those notes to quickly get them added into the system. Normally you would do that so that they show up on the seller reports.

Harley Wolfarth:

So there you go. That is the Listing profile page. So that is how you can manage your listings in the Deltanet. That also goes through the new video functionality, so you can see all the new ways that you can add videos and how those will show up on the detail pages. As always, if you have any questions, concerns, feel free to send an email into support@Deltagroup.com or give us a call and we can walk you through whatever you need. Otherwise have a great week and I will see you again next week. Thanks a lot.
