In this episode of Tech Tuesday, Harley Wolfarth goes over email reports, powered by the DeltaNET™️ 6 CRM.

Video Transcription

Harley:

Hello and welcome to another edition of tech Tuesday presented by Delta Media Group, where we know that in Latin, Jehovah started with an I. So today, we are going to take a look at the email reporting page in the Delta Net. We've looked over this page before. And it's where you can go to see how many customers you've had, what user email addresses have bounced or have opted out of different kinds of emails, things like that, but we've made some additions to it and now it will also show you email history related to various systems that send email through the Delta Net. So let's take a look at it and see what we've got. So first off to get there, we're going to go to marketing and then down to email activity reports or report, rather, you could also type email up here into the quick search and you can get it to come up that way.

Harley:

So we'll just email activity report. Here we go. So you can see, we have first off a breakdown at the top that allows you to select the different kinds of emails you want to see the stats for. And then below that you also have the customer opt-out charts, which will show you how many have opted out and how many bounces you've gotten. Now, my charts, you know, this is a demo account, so my charts definitely favor to the bounce side because I have a lot of email addresses in here that aren't really valid, but yours will probably have much, much fewer bounces. And you'll probably see more of mostly opted in and then a handful opted out and maybe just a few bounced. So anyway, these charts will give you that breakdown. Now, these charts are specific to each system because you have the ability or customers have the ability to opt out of these systems individually.

Harley:

So MCFL has a different opt-out list versus e-cards, which has a different one than email blasts. So because each one can have its own opt-out list, it makes sense to have them all as their separate charts. That said, the bounced is the same on each one. So we have one bounce table. If a message bounces, then that email address is considered one that is invalid or that messages will bounce if we send them to. There's one list for that, so that's why you'll have the same number of users in all four of these charts for the bounced portion. So now, to see any details on these, you can just choose the type of email you want to look into and click this little hamburger menu in the top and then you can view the list more specifically. Now you can also print out this chart or you can download the chart if you just wanted that graphical representation there, but you can view the opt-out list or view the bounce list details here.

Harley:

So again, if I select view bounce list, we're going to get this list and this is the same bounce list regardless of which section I decided to view the bounce list from. So this is my whole bounce list here, and you can see it gives me the customer name on the customer account there and also gives me their email address. So the next thing we do just as a convenience feature here is you can go through and check the ones you want to remove and click, delete customers and follow the process there. And that allows you to kind of quickly go through and delete customers in bulk where you know that their email addresses have bounced. So that is a nice and quick and convenient way you can do that.

Harley:

Also, if you want details on any of these, or maybe you see one, let's say for example, Darlene Alderson, we'll say we look at her customer account, we see her email address, and we recognize that that address is incorrect and that's somebody that I'm working with. I can go over here and click on view and that's going to open up that profile page for that customer. And now from here, if I have a phone number or anything like that, I could contact her another way to get a new email address and switch that out. So just a convenient way to get there. Now, the other thing you'll notice here is that when I clicked on those, it opened a new tab. So that way I still have this tab open, so I'm right where I left off and I can just close these other tabs whenever I'm done working there. So there you go.

Harley:

Now, the next thing you can do is on any of these sections, I can select that same menu and I can view the opt-out list. So that list is going to be specific to each of these email types, since I do have the ability to opt out of campaigns and not email blasts like we said, so view opt-out list. And again, that opens up in a new tab and then here is my opt-out list. Now from here, these are customers that their email address is still valid. They've just chosen not to get that kind of email, therefore you're not going to want to go in and delete a bunch of these in bulk generally. And that's why there's no bulk delete option here. So in this case, it just gives you the specifics of those that have opted out of that kind of email. And again, you have that view button if you want to click through and then open up their profile page and get more information about those customers. So we'll close that one out.

Harley:

Now our section up here at the top of the page is our email statistics section. So some of these types of emails have some stats built into them. So if I go to the e-cards page for example, I can look at the e-card specific stats there. Drip campaigns. If I go to my email campaigns page, I can look campaign by campaign and I can get information on each of those as far as delivery statistics. This just kind of consolidates everything so that you can easily get to all of those statistics from one place. So that's a nice, convenient use for this page.

Harley:

The next thing we can do, so we're going to go and let's take a look at the home finders one. So email statistics, we're going to look at home finders. Now home finders do not have their own statistics elsewhere. So what this does is kind of summarizes all the home finders or the saved search emails they're being sent out to all your customers to give you an idea over a time period because you can narrow that time period down if you want, but give you an idea of over that time period what kind of home finders are going out to your customers or how many you're sending out, the days they're sending, who they're going to, and then whether those customers are opening them or not, and whether they're clicking on the links inside those emails or not. So this puts all of those home finder emails together in one spot, so you can really easily see what those are doing.

Harley:

And again, I can go up here. I can narrow this date down if I want to look at say only home finder sent in the last month. And then I can also export that report as a CSV if I want to use that for another platform or just have that stored in another way. So there you go. Like the other table systems like this throughout the Delta Net, it is searchable also. So if you had a customer that said they weren't receiving a saved search they set up, anything like that, you could go to this page and just search them by name here, and you can see it narrows down as you type. So there you go.

Harley:

All right. So let's go back to the email report page, so we have a back button up here just to keep it simple. So back to our report selection. There we are. And we can do the same thing for market watches. So if I click on this one, it is exactly the same report only this is looking at market watch emails instead of the home finder or saved search emails. But other than that, it works exactly the same. So we'll go back one more and seller reports. Again, looking at something very similar, but the seller report doesn't have kind of a unified dashboard. It's a customer based report, just like the market watches and home finders, so this is a place where all of those emails are consolidated. So you can see all the home finders that are the seller reports that have gone out and what day those have been opened, and if the user did ultimately click on them to go through to the website.

Harley:

So we have all those as well. And now drip campaigns, again, very similar, but this is looking only at drip campaign emails, so these will be the emails sent under from the campaigns and action plans page which again, if you do go to that page, you can see per campaign what the stats are on each campaign and even each email within that campaign. So this gives you an overview, but if you go to that page, you can really see the specifics. And then next we have e-cards which again, same display, same interface, just looking at a different kind of email. Back again. Email blasts, again, the same thing, but email blasts and e-cards, you can go to those respective pages and actually see the stats there as well. So if I went to the email blast page, I would be able to see all these stats there also. And then lastly, the MCFL. So the MCFL or the, My Customer for Life System again, I can see these stats from the MCFL page itself, or I can go here and just get kind of a quick aggregated report, just so that everything's all in one spot.

Harley:

So there you have it. That is the email reporting page and the Delta Net and the different things you can see on those and how you can interact with that, to see what the system is doing on your behalf, especially when it comes to those automated emails like home finders and market watches, where you don't have as much overarching visibility into. This gives you a nice place where you can see how those are really performing. So there you go. So if you have any questions, concerns, comments as always feel free to give us a call or send an email into support@deltagroup.com, and we will help you out with whatever you need. And I will see you again next week. Thanks a lot.
