Hello, and welcome to another addition of Delta Media Groups Tech Tuesday. Today, I have an interesting feature in mind, and it's pretty cool. It leads into some additional stuff. Basically, what I'm going to do is go over the AVM system. I apologize in advance because this is not going to be something that is available to everybody, only if your company has the AVM system set up will it be available to you. As long as they have, you'll be able to go in and set this up. There's actually a couple of additional pre-requisites for it. Number one, your company has to be subscribed to the AVM system, so they have to have that turned on. Number two, you have to be on the upgrade package. And number three, you have to be set up on one of the modular responsive website templates. I'll run through and explain each of those things a little bit and then we'll go into how you can get the AVM system working on your own website. Let's go into the Delta Net and start poking around.
Now, first of all, the AVM system stands for Automated Valuation Management, I think. I think the M stands for management. But basically, it produces an automated valuation of whatever property address you put in there. You go to the AVM page, you put in your property address, it brings up the home along with the values from RPR and Zillow's zestimate value. And the idea there behind the zestimate is, if a customer wants valuations for their home they're going to find the zestimate one way or another so they might as well get it from your website. There's no point sending them off to Zillow for that. Just display it right on your site so that the traffic stays with you, and the customer stays with you.
Let me go down here and ... Let's give you an idea of what it looks like first. If I go into my website here, you can see right here in my quick search I have a find your home, and a what's your home worth. If I click the what's your home worth tab, I can now enter an address. Let me go ahead and bring the address up, and if finds no automated property data. Let's try that again. It's going to be one of those days, I can already tell. Oh, that's why. Well, let's do it this way. We'll go to the page and take a look at it, then we'll be able to give you an idea of what this looks like, one way or the other.
To set up a page for this, I'm going to go to website and pages, and I'm going to make a new page, I'm going to select pre-defined pages since this is a pre-built page. And then for pre-defined page link, we're going to click on our drop down and go down and select my home value. You can see advanced sites only, since it's an upgrade only page. Just like any other custom page, I'm going to give it a link title. You'll note that you can require registration to view the valuation on this page. We'll call it my home value, why not? If I require registration, then that means that if someone enters an address on this page it will force them to give me contact information before it will take them through and show you the valuation. We'll select navigation menu, give it a page title, and description and meta key words are used for search engines, and will show up in the search results. Page title will show up up here in the top, in the navigation bar, or in the title bar of the browser.
I'm going to update, and that creates my page and now I have a link to it here. Let me just click that link, get rid of this here. There you go, you can see I now have a my home value link up in my top navigation, and let's see if this interface works better for us. It might just be because we were on a test site here, but we're about to find out. There we go. When someone puts in their address on your home valuation page, and you can share this home valuation page itself, that actual URL out with any of your social media or share it out to anyone you want. Or even send it out through some of the email marketing tools, like an email blast, anything like that. Then you could send out an email campaign, or an email blast that says, "If you want to see the value of your home, click here." That will take them through to this valuation page where they can type in an address.
When they type in their address, it will actually store it as a lead in your system. Even though it doesn't have their contact information yet, it does store their address, you'll be able to see that. And then take them through to this valuation page. From here, they can sign up for a market watch that's centered on this property, and that will also set them up for a reverse prospecting report and we can get into that in a future video. All these calls to action exist on this page so that you can capture their contact information from here. As we scroll down, you'll see that we have the Zillow zestimate here, if we had data for RPR on this particular test site, it would also show the RPR valuation, and potentially even the collateral analytics valuation depending on whether or not your company has data for that. Because this is a test site for that, it doesn't have the RPR box.
And as we scroll down the page, there's another call to action here and you can see a demand report and how many users are in the system searching for a property like this one. This is all really useful information that it gives to the customer. The whole idea is that, and you can see what the range is on these, and it's really nice when you have multiple valuations because you can have a big gap between valuations. The idea there, is that the customer will see a wide gap in values for their home and then take that information and say, "I want to get a real valuation." And then contact you as the agent, so that you can give that to them. We'll go down the page here and you can see all the different information available. That is the first way they can get to this page. You can create a custom page with whatever labeling you want, I went with my home value. Add it to your navigation, share it out with social media and they can get over to this page where they can search for values on their property.
The other thing they can do once they're here, they can actually share their valuation out with social media, with this Facebook button, if they want to share the valuation on their own home. Or a home that they're interested in selling. Or they can print this out with just this print button. There we go. Now, the other thing you can do, and the thing I was working on to start out with, is you can add to your homepage quick search, so that when somebody hits your homepage, they have that right there in front so they don't have to go to this my home value page, they can just do the search right from your homepage. To do that, I'm going to go back into the Delta Net and I'm going to go to website and modular theme editor. I'm going to hope, when we switch this through the modular theme editor, it's going to make it start working. But, it will work on your site, just doesn't work on mine because it's a demo site.
We'll scroll down here. These are all the different options available to you, as far as customizing your home page. When we get down to the section labeled template quick search background graphic, you'll see we have several different options for quick search setups. One of those is find your home and what's your home worth, which is the one that's set up on mine now. We'll switch that to find your home and what's your home worth with search forms for each. It will give me a different look to the quick search, and then as long as I have a what's your home worth box like this, I should be able to use this valuation tool. We'll try this other option, we'll go down here. You can see the additional options for setting up different logos on your site or setting up home page meta descriptions, page titles, and stuff. I'm going to save changes. That should have saved my website settings. Now I'm going to view my website and see I have a different quick search now.
Let's give this one a shot to see if it works the way ... It's the risk we take with live. Yeah, see. If you set up that quick search on your site, it will work. As a demo site, we just can't win all the time. It's the nature of doing these live I suppose. But, that is how you set it up. You just go in, set up your quick search so that you have a what's your home worth box, and then people will be able to put in their address right from the homepage and get through to the valuation page that you see from here. There we go.
All right, thanks a lot for joining me. That about covers the AVM system and how you can set it up on your homepage, as well as setting up a separate page for it and how you can share those out with any social media or any of your customers so that they can get valuations on their home and ultimately, become sellers. Thanks a lot for joining me. As always, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to comment on one of our videos or send an email into support@deltagroup.com, or give us call. Thanks a lot for joining me. See you next week.
