Good morning everybody, this morning I wanted to talk ... I wanted to talk to you about something you're going to be hearing tomorrow on Tech Tuesday. And tomorrow on Tech Tuesday you're going to be seeing something related to campaigns and action plans. And so I thought you know what, what would be really important is if we talked through why email marketing is so important. And I wanted to talk through some of the specifics of that, but let me just put it that way, within our platform over the years we've seen over and over how the successful agents, they pay attention to a number of different areas. And one of those is email marketing.
I know this makes sense, but they pay attention to email marketing. And that's one of the things that you need to pay attention to in your business is your email marketing. So, why do you pay attention that? Well, email engages people, and it's one of the ways you pay attention to email marketing, I'm sure the majority of you do, especially when it comes to shopping, the emails you get from various stores, or even online retailers. But I want to talk through some of the things in our system that you have available to you. So, as you're going through that or watching training that Harley does, that some of these things can make sense to you as to why you use them.
First of all, we have something that we call My Customer For Life. And we know it's hard to come up with content, that if it's on your shoulders to come up with content every single month, or even every single week, but let alone every month, it's like every month comes very quickly. So, it's hard to come up with new content every time. And so that's why we came up with My Customer For Life, actually three new articles every single week that we curate in here, so we write them and they're ours. So, they're unique articles on your platform.
But we also added the ability for these to email out. But what's unique about this is these are all one off emails. And what I mean by that is the way email marketing is evolving right now is it's based on individual recipient's behavior. So, that's how we built My Customer For Life, is that platform, like if you turn it on for all, let's assume you have 500 contacts, if you turn that email campaign on for all 500 contacts, that email starts to evolve for every single individual recipient. It detects what types of articles they engage with, and it starts to evolve, it doesn't send them duplicate articles. But it also starts to send them more articles that are of a type that they engage with.
Again, that one to one marketing concept. So, we have the My Customer For Life, that's why we did that. But also I want to point out three other areas. Two of these you don't have to do anything, these are things you're probably already doing. New listing notifications, that's pretty straightforward. We all know why we do those. And then market watch. But the one thing I want to point out with market watch is the primary reason we got into doing market watch emails a few years ago is we wanted to have something that would engage with all people. And so that's why we came up with market watch, I don't know how many years ago we did that.
But we came up with that email because it appeals to homeowners, people not even thinking of selling their home, they own a home and they want to pay attention to what's going on in their neighborhood. I fall into that category. So, I actually get a market watch from local companies here, from our platform. And I pay attention to the emails, because I see what homes are selling for, I see what's going on in the market. We all care about that. I have no interest in selling my home.
But then also people that are looking at selling their home, or even have it listed, they care, obviously you understand that. But then even investors, we've found that a large number of these emails get set up for investors to pay attention to various markets.
But the fourth thing I want to talk about is something that we also see the very successful agents paying attention to. And that is our email blast system. We actually have the ability, if you really want to be I would say really paying attention to your email marketing that you're doing and the campaigns that you have going on, if I were in your shoes, if I was a realtor, I would have the My Customer For Life articles going out. I would also have ... obviously be doing the new listing notifications and market watch. But then I'd probably be doing a monthly email blast. I would write up my own article and send it out every single month using our email blast platform. It's very easy to do, and really the time consuming part would be writing the article.
And I have to admit, I'm probably like a lot of you, I'm not really good at English, I'm not really good at writing things. But I can sit down and force myself over an hour, or maybe over a two day period working on it a little bit, I can write a pretty decent article. And all of you can too, you can write an article with what you know about what's going on in the local real estate market. And that's a great example of something that you could send out. But, one little key point I'd give is be sure to include a call to action in that email offering your services. You can come up with a call to action.
But tomorrow, in Tech Tuesday I believe what we're going to be training on is campaigns and action plans. So, really pay attention to that because email marketing is an important aspect to your business. I'd say it's as important, even probably more important than the yard sign from a marketing standpoint. It's a very important aspect.
