Hello and welcome to another edition of Delta Media Group's Tech Tuesday. Here at Delta Media Group, we were watching some games at the American Dodgeball Association of America on ESPN 8, The Ocho, and we have a sneaking suspicion that, that Steve "The Pirate" Guy that plays for Average Joe's is not actually a pirate. We could be wrong but we're suspicious. So, today, we are going to go into the Delta Net and take a look at a feature that has been there as long as I've known the Delta Net but we've enhanced it quite a bit and added a lot of functionality there. So, we're gonna take another look at it. So, let's jump into the Delta Net and see what we're looking at.
So, specifically, what we're gonna look at here is how you can save properties for a customer. Now the idea here is this is historically has always been a way that customers can go into the website, they can see favorite properties and they can save those favorites or if you run into a property that they might be interested in you can go into their account and you can save favorite for them. Now, in addition to being able to save favorites, you can also save houses they've previously purchased, houses they've previously sold and the houses you've shown them also. But let's take a look. So, if I go down here to customers and Customer Center, and I'm just gonna scroll down and pick a customer. We'll go with Princess Vespa. And scroll down to the saved properties section and you can see that we have four saved properties in here now.
If I wanna filter this down to specific saved properties or a specific type of saved properties, then I can use this dropdown and I can look at just favorites. So this would be anything the customer has favorited on the public side or anything that you've added as a favorite listing of theirs. Listing I've shown, which will be listings you've actually shown to them so you can save those in here for them. Those you have to save. They can't go into the public side and save them. Buying, so anything that they've purchased, you can save that in here. And selling, so anything that they've sold. You can also save that in here. So, those last three are all types of properties that you would go in and save for them. And then I can go in here to all and I can see all the properties that I have saved with this customer.
So, if I wanna add a saved property here, I just click on add a saved property, I put in an address or an MLS I.D. I can choose what type of saved property that'll be, so favored is what's selected by default and that's what it's always been. Next, I could do listings I've shown, which works roughly the same way. Purchase, which, as you can see, pops some additional fields down here so that I can keep track of the transaction dates and price also. And also whether it's a primary residence or an investment property. And lastly, I can click on sale and you can see it keeps those transaction field down there because those are also relevant in terms of a sale. Now, the other thing we've added here and this was actually also a recent addition to this is you can add comments for any of these listings.
Now, these comments that you put here will be visible to the customer also in the case of favorite properties. So, for the purchased, sold and listings I've shown, those don't show up on the public side. Those just show up here in the Delta Net and if you go to favorite, those also show up in the customer's public side in their interface within their portfolio account and I'll show you that in a minute. So, for there, you would enter a favorite property for them and you'd say, "This is the one with the great fireplace." Why not? I always liked fireplaces. I don't think I've ever had a house with a fireplace but I like them. So, this is the one with the great fireplace, I hit save and now I've saved an additional property for this customer and if they go into the public side, they'll be able to see that.
Now I could also export this list if I wanted. So, if I wanted to just fire off a list of all the properties favorited or attached to this customer, I could do this with this export button. And that's pretty much all there is to it on Delta Net side as far as managing these listings goes. Now, if I take a look at the public side, so if I was a customer, I came to the website, I log into my account or generally I'll already be logged into the account. Up here I can see I've got four saved listings. So if I click on that, and actually I have five because I haven't refreshed this page since I saved a new one, but you can see it loads but my saved listings panel. There's one of two so just the two favorite listings are showing up here. And this is the one with the great fireplace. So there's that comment that I left for that listing.
Now, the customer can also go in there and modify these. The idea is that the customer can go in and modify the notes on a listing and then you can also set notes for a listing or comments on a listing. They show up in the favorite section as well. So, it's kind of a shared comment field between you and your customer, which can be a really nice way to keep track of the listings, especially if you're looking in a lot of them, just notable features and notable things about them to remember which one is which. So, there you have it. That is the new improvements to the saved listings system. I will also say that in the Delta Net, this saved properties section of all these different types, we're gonna be expanding this functionality. So, the idea's that the properties you add in here as bought or sold properties can ultimately work to kick off other functionality in the system.
So, that sort of thing isn't in yet but because that's in the roadmap because we plan on putting in things like that, it is a good idea with all of your customers whenever they buy a home, whenever they sell a home, to attach those properties, actually put those properties in here through this saved listings panel because then you'll already be one step ahead when we add in the functionality that does things like managing a pipeline or sending out automated emails and things like that based on properties that the customer has bought or sold. So, there you have it. So, as always, thanks a lot for joining me this week. We got kind of a short one for you this week but there's nothing wrong with that. So, if you have any questions, concerns, comments, feel free to comment on any of the videos on Facebook or YouTube or send an email into support@deltagroup.com or just give us a call.
Thanks a lot for joining me this week and I will see you again next week.
