Some agents make social media look easy, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're posting all day. Most have simply figured out what they want to share ahead of time instead of scrambling for an idea at the last minute. A simple checklist can help you do the same.
You don't have to post every day to keep your name in front of people. For most agents, three to five posts a week is a realistic goal, and it's much easier to keep up with when your schedule fills up. Try mixing in different types of content so you're not just sharing listing after listing:
A listing, especially if you have a quick video walkthrough
Something happening locally, like a new bakery, a school update, or a zoning change
A client win, from a closing-day photo to a great review
A little behind-the-scenes look at your day, messy car and all
Instagram and Facebook are good places to focus if you want to reach buyers and sellers. It's better to show up consistently on one or two platforms than stretch yourself across five and struggle to keep up with all of them.
Before you post, take a minute to look everything over. Check the photo, reread the caption, and make sure nothing important is missing. It can also help to read the caption out loud. You'll often catch a typo or clunky sentence that you skimmed right past on the screen.
The photo looks clear and fits the platform
The caption is easy to understand and stays on point
The post follows your brokerage branding and fair housing guidelines
Any required disclosures or license information are there
Rather than figuring out what to post each day, pick a time early in the week to knock it all out at once. Spend an hour writing captions, choosing photos, and getting everything organized. This is content batching, and it makes staying active on social media much easier when the rest of your week gets busy. You can also use post scheduling to have everything go out automatically, whether you're at a showing, meeting with a client, or just caught up in a busy day.
You don't need a fresh idea every time you post. An open house alone can give you plenty to work with, from a quick reel and photo carousel to stories and a recap once it's over. You can pull a few useful tips from a market report or turn a great client review into a simple graphic. If something is worth sharing, find a few ways to use it. Chances are, your audience didn't see it the first time anyway.
Break long reports into short tips
Turn testimonials into graphics
Cut long videos into clips
Getting likes and comments is nice, but the real goal is starting conversations with potential clients. Give people an easy next step by connecting your social profiles to a professional real estate website where they can learn more about you and get in touch. Just as important, make sure those inquiries go somewhere you'll actually see them. Delta Media Group brings a real estate CRM, custom websites, and agent marketing tools together in one platform, helping turn those clicks and conversations into contacts you can follow up with.
Keep it manageable. Choose a few types of content you know you can create, set aside one hour each week to get organized, and give every post a quick check before it goes live. Stick with that routine for a few weeks, and social media can start to feel like a normal part of your marketing instead of another thing hanging over your head. With Delta Media Group helping manage the technology behind your marketing, you can spend more of your time focused on your clients.
