Harley:

Hello, and welcome to Tech Tuesday presented by Delta Media Group, where we just found out that Minnie mouse's first name is really Minerva, and now it kind of feels like my whole life has been a lie. Today, we're going to take a look at some functionality that we have extended for Social Media Connector. Currently. You do have the ability to set up Social Media Connector, to automatically send out or automatically create a post on any of your numerous social media sites. Whenever a new listing comes in or a new listing meets a certain trigger that then triggers that particular post. We'll take a look at the Social Media Connector settings here, and you can see exactly what kind of posts those are. First, we'll go down and click on social media here in the left navigation, or you can type social up here at the top, in the quick actions and find your way there that way.

Harley:

Once we land on these Social Connector page, you can see these are the different types of social accounts we can connect. Then down here in the rows, are the different kind of posts we can make. This new functionality specifically pertains to new listing posts, open houses, and as we go down sold listing posts, listing videos, any of the listing related posts in here. Pending listings is on this list, coming soon listings and even back on market. Those are the various listing-related posts here. If I wanted to automatically post new listings to my Facebook page, you can see my Facebook page is already connected here. If it wasn't, I could click on any of these for not connected and it pops open a window that allows me to sign into that account. Though, I won't be signing into a Twitter account here.

Harley:

There we go, and then once you sign into your account there and you accept the permissions, that then links the Delta Net to your social account. At that point, the system can start automatically making these posts on your behalf. For a new listing post, when a new listing comes in, it will automatically see that new listing and that will be the trigger to make that post to your Facebook page that says, "I have a new listing and click here to check out the new listing on my website." Now, if I click on this, you see, I can control the settings specific to those new listing posts, but the only thing that I can control here is I can turn them on or off. It's either posting the new listings or it's not posting the new listings. I have some related settings here for how often I wanted to post or rather how many I wanted to be able to post per day is what this limit is.

Harley:

For example, if I got 10 new listings in a day and I never wanted it to post more than two, I could set this to two. New listings might be a bad example there. You don't get 10 new listings in a day very often, but what are you going to do? You do your best, right? The next one is to automatically delete posts. Right now it's set to 30 years. I think that's probably a little excessive. If we switch that to days, now we're saying after 30 days, the system will automatically delete the post. Then here we can control the post template. This is just, you can see the template down here. This is the text that is used along with that post. If I click on each one of these, you can see it switches that out. I could click edit to set up my own if I'd like.

Harley:

That's kind of the basics of those settings. From there, I can control which listings this will choose when it auto posts under this advanced filter section. Here I could limit this to only listings from specific MLSs. I could list it to exclude certain MLS IDs. I could list a minimum or maximum price. I have some settings here, as far as narrowing down specifically, what kinds of listings will meet the criteria to trigger this auto post. However, it's not really set up to work on a per listing basis. The idea is that you want to be able to create exceptions here for your own listings for certain post types, if you choose, without kind of covering it across the board on each of these. That's the functionality we've added.

Harley:

If you go here and you turn on your, we'll go down here and we'll say our listing videos post type. Let's say we've turned this on for all the social accounts that we would like to automatically post listing videos, but there's one listing where we don't want it to post when we add a new video to it. To do that, I'll just go over here to listings and then down and manage my listings. Now, I'm looking at each one of my own listings, and to get into the settings for that, I'll just click on that listings MLS ID over here on the left. Now, we have added a new section down at the bottom of this page that says listing auto post options. From here, we can disable certain types of auto posts for just this listing. I can say post listing videos or automatically make a post to my social account every time any of my listings has a video added to it, except this one, because this one I'm going to go in and I'm going to say listing videos and we'll check that.

Harley:

That will disable the posting for just this listing for listing videos. I now have the ability to do that for any of the post types. If I didn't want to post any price reductions for this listing or any open houses, I didn't want to post those automatically to my social account when those happen for this listing, I just select those options here and we'll click update, and now those types of posts will not be created for this listing.

Harley:

It's just one more way we've extended the Social Media Connector functionality in order to give you more fine grain control over what it will post on your behalf on a per listing basis. As always, thanks a lot for joining me.
