This video demonstrates how you can generated mailable postcards in bulk for customers that have requested a home valuation on your website. It further describes the functionality of the AVM Reports page in the DeltaNET.

Video Transcription

Harley:

Hello, and welcome to Tech Tuesday, presented by Delta Media Group. We found some really good knock-knock jokes to kick this one off before really coming to the conclusion that a call and response joke just doesn't work very well for this format. They were good, though. You'll just have to trust me.

Harley:

So today, we're going to take a look at some new functionality rather that we've added to the AVM Reports page that allows you to pull up a wide variety of those customers that have requested an AVM, or an automated valuation, on your website and then produce postcards for all of those agents at once that you can actually mail out to them with their home valuation and basically some reverse prospecting report information on them.

Harley:

So first off, what the AVM page is, is if you have this activated on your website, it gives customers the ability to go to a what's my home worth page where they will type in their address. It will find through Google's algorithm, or Google Maps' algorithm, exactly what their address is, and then bring up an automatic valuation from a few different sources for that particular property. From there, they can sign up. They can put additional information in there. They can request more information or request a market watch centered on their particular property, or the property that they entered. They can even claim ownership of the home there.

Harley:

But even if they don't do any of that, just by requesting a valuation on that address, it is stored in the platform as a door-knock lead. And you can see all of those requests on the AVM Reports page. So you can see I've just typed AVM up here in the Quick Actions, and right here under navigation is the AVM Report page. Now, you may have tile or a link that leads to that page elsewhere. It could be under your marketing tab. It could be in other places. But since those tiles and that navigation is customizable on a per-company basis, you can always get to it from here.

Harley:

So once you've gotten to the AVM Reports page, we can take this page, and we'll open this up a bit, but basically we're just setting the timeframe that we're looking for for those that have requested and AVM on my website. Now from here, we can export this report in total, if we wanted to just export with all this information. We can print mailing labels, if we wanted to print only a mailing label, and then send them some personalized communication. I would just select my mailing label type and click Print Labels. And it would print out mailing labels for all these properties.

Harley:

And then lastly, and the new functionality, I can click on Generate PDF, and the system will automatically create a PDF with multiple postcards on it, so a multi-page PDF, that contains all these postcards that you can print out and just send out to these customers. So you can see here there's a warning if you have more than 40, it tends to be very time-consuming as how long it takes to generate those. So usually, you want to keep those groupings relatively low.

Harley:

This is just a test site. So you can see we only have a handful here. But what I'll do is just click on Generate Report. You can see it's processing five. So we'll give it a minute to think about that. And when it's done processing all of these, it is going to pop up a downloadable PDF that we can view and see exactly what those reports will look like. AVM Postcards. So we'll just save that here. We'll open her up, and there we go.

Harley:

So you can see this is one side of the postcard, and this is the other. Now the reason that it puts those on two separate pages, and they're just little four by six postcards, but the reason it puts them on two separate pages is that if your print this double-sided, you will effectively be printing a postcard per page. And it will have both sides laid out. So all you have to do then is cut it out. Unless you have postcard paper of some kind. But at that point, you would just need to cut it out, and you'll be able to put these straight in the mail. They already have the customer name, if the customer provided their name, as well as an address on them.

Harley:

And then if we take a look at the first page, you can see that it shows the estimate, or what the automated valuation was for that property, as well as a little information about the property, and notes that there are 24 registered buyers looking for a home like this one.

Harley:

So what the system is doing is it's looking at all the customers in the platform, whether they are assigned to you or not, that have something like a saved search or made request on a similar property. And putting those are basically counting those here to give the customer an indicator of how many people in the system as active buyers, or really active users in the system right now, would likely be interested in their home if they were to put it on the market. And you can see it's created one of these for each one of the customers on that page. So there you go.

Harley:

Now, we'll go back into the DeltaNet, and just give you a quick run through of the other information that does show up on this page. Nothing has changed here, but this way at least you can see this information and get an explanation if you didn't have it before. But you can see here, it's laid out with a column for request dates. So this is when they made their AVM request. This is the address they entered. So that's the address of the property. Some information there. If they did provide their name. So let's say they filled out an address, they landed on that page, and then they requested a market watch. So they requested information. Then we'll have this contact information. If they just put in their address, it'll simply be missing, this contact information.

Harley:

The next thing we have here is for report activity. And the other thing I'll add, actually, is if they are logged into an account. So most of these are customers that had existing test accounts, is why they show up this way. So they were logged into that account, and then they put in an address to view that page.

Harley:

What you'll see a lot of here, usually, is missing names and addresses here because they just didn't provide any. So it would just be a property address. Now, in that case, if they go to that page, if they do request anything on that page, that information will show up here. So if they requested a market watch report based on that property, this little monthly box would be lit up with a check mark. So it would be green with a check mark next to it to indicate that they did request a monthly market watch for that property.

Harley:

Inquiry would be checked if they had asked for more information related to the property they submitted. So there's just and information request form there. Usually what they're doing is requesting a more official CMA at that point.

Harley:

And then lastly, they do have the ability to claim ownership of the property on the page. So when they're on the AVM page looking at their results, there are a few different places where they can actually claim this as a property that they own. And if they do that, then this box will be lit up as well.

Harley:

And we just have the agent name. So that is who they're assigned to. So this will generally always be you. SO in this case it is. It is my test account. And then just a quick layout of the valuation. From here, if I wanted to create an individual prospect report, I can click on this button and I can actually customize some information about the property that will appear on that. And then I can download that as a PDF or I can email it. It is exactly the same as the postcard, except it's only one half. It's just the... We'll switch back over there. It's just this half. And the idea is that's then designed to be turned into a PDF or sent out as an email. Whereas these include the other half that actually turns into a postcard with their address so that they can just be thrown straight in the mail, after you put a stamp on them, that is. Of course, right? So this would just be the front side of that.

Harley:

So I'll close that one out. And then the other options you have here is you could share their AVM Report. So it's a nice, convenient way that we can click on that, and we can decide if we want to share it via email, or if we want to share it on social media. So you could direct share their AVM Report with them again on social media.

Harley:

And then lastly, we have an easy way that we can just get through to the customer profile. So if we do contact them, we want to add any information, or we see that they do have a customer account. So they did ask for information or maybe made some requests on the website. This is an easy way that we can get to their profile page in the DeltaNet and see what information's available for us there.

Harley:

So there you have it. That is the AVM Reports page in the DeltaNet with a new functionality to quickly and easily generate those reverse prospecting report postcards, as well as everything else that that page does. So, as always, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, feel free to send an email in to support@DeltaGroup.com. Or give us a call, and we can help you through this or whatever else you need.
