A natural-born leader, she earned the title of a top producer quite quickly, soon becoming a mentor and manager for the company. After moving to Tulsa and making a name for herself in residential real estate in a new city, she met Cohen, a top producer in commercial real estate. He learned the life of real estate from his grandfather, who had sold and managed real estate in Manhattan. Before moving to Tulsa, he owned and operated a commercial brokerage in Miami, FL.Â
Chinowth, named in the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Real Estate by the Swanepoel Power 200, is the CEO of Chinowth & Cohen. She is also a renowned national speaker, having given speeches for companies such as RISMedia, Real Trends, and Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate, and a board member of the Realty Alliance. Cohen, the creator of The Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), serves as the company's CFO.
Sheryl and Lee today run the company alongside their sons, Leland and Taylor Chinowth. What started as a one-office firm with only 25 sales associates has grown into a company with over 700 sales associates among 15 offices, earning them the title of Real Trend's #1 Real Estate Company, based on organic growth among other privately owned firms. This year, Chinowth & Cohen is thrilled to be celebrating its 20th anniversary!

A Team Offering Tech Support
To teach their agents new technology and keep them refreshed and informed on the latest tools, the marketing staff at Chinowth & Cohen meets one-on-one with agents and hosts classes and training sessions for continuing education.Â
"Our marketing staff meets one-on-one with new agents to give them an orientation on Delta technology," says Leland. "We also do continuing education and classes at our various training rooms around the state year-round for existing agents to stay up-to-date with the latest features."

Growing in 2024
